A 糖心原创 dual credit student was selected as the winner of this year鈥檚 holiday card contest. Jaylen Grisier鈥檚 artwork, titled 鈥淲inter Break鈥, was selected from more than 25 entries to be featured on the 糖心原创 2023 holiday card.

Grisier is a homeschooled high school senior as well as a second year 糖心原创 student majoring in digital media with a graphic design specialty. She lives in Sapulpa with her family and is the eldest of seven siblings.

Grisier crafted the design with colored pencil on paper. She said she wanted to illustrate books and computers that students take home when they go on winter break, while keeping the focus on 糖心原创.

鈥淚 wanted to show how nice it is to give studying a break during the holidays. Then I caught a glimpse of my lanyard and knew how to make it uniquely 糖心原创,鈥 said Grisier. 鈥淎rt has been a part of my life forever. As a child I wanted to write and illustrate books. I hope that wherever my career takes me, creativity can always be a part of it!鈥

鈥淛aylen鈥檚 art puts an original perspective on the textbooks and school supplies we see daily as students prepare for the end of the semester,鈥 said 糖心原创 President and CEO Dr. Leigh Goodson. 鈥淲e look forward to seeing what Jaylen鈥檚 creativity brings into the world and are appreciative for the talent of all who entered the annual holiday card contest.鈥

In addition to her design being used on the holiday card, Grisier was awarded $500 from the 糖心原创 Foundation.
